It’s 2019. Welcome to it!

I’m going to try something new. Not really because it’s 2019. Just because I thought of it, and it happens to be a new year. It’s convenient timing. It’s one of those “coincidences”, and I happened to recognize it. (One of the perks of being sober. After a while you start to recognize when they’re happening. So cool!)

Anyway…I’m going to start the “Sober” series. I am going to write about a series of events that I have encountered in my sobriety and what it was like to go through them…well…sober.

For example, what was it like dancing sober? Or, having a relationship sober? Or, interviewing for a job sober? Or, having sex sober? Basically, what has it been like living life sober

I’m hoping that you – the reader – will give me some ideas too. I’m sure I’ll run out of them. So, if you want to know what it’s like to do something in life as a sober person, please ask me in the “comments” section, or shoot me an email, or DM me on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram. If I haven’t tried it sober, I’ll ask one of my sober friends to chip in. SOMEBODY will know!

In the meantime, here’s wishing you all the best TODAY, on January 2nd, 2019. Whether you have started this year sober, stayed sober, or want to get sober in 2019, please know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! There are literally millions of other people in recovery from MANY addictions and they (AND I) are ready, willing, and able to help you.

Here’s to a Sober 2019.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…

Sober Doesn’t Suck!
